Home medical equipment (HME) industry veteran Corey Smith has been promoted to Tactical Back Office’s (TBO) director of sales.
In a March 20 announcement, the company said, “Since joining TBO two years ago, Corey has established himself as a client-focused leader with exceptional business acumen. Drawing on more than two decades of health-care industry experience, he brings invaluable insights and solutions into the complex challenges healthcare organizations face in today’s constantly changing environment.”
Smith had been serving as TBO’s client sales executive since joining the company in 2023. Prior to that, Smith spent eight years at Philips, most recently as its senior program manager of key accounts.
As director of sales, Smith will “lead TBO’s client partnership growth while creating targeted staffing solutions that solve health-care staffing challenges,” the announcement said. “His proven ability to help clients overcome workforce obstacles, reduce overhead and generate more income has already boosted profitability for numerous organizations facing industry pressures.”
“Corey’s promotion reflects his outstanding contributions to both our clients and our organization,” said Todd Usher, CEO of Tactical Back Office. “His strategic leadership and deep industry expertise will be vital as we continue empowering health-care businesses to scale efficiently through our virtual staffing solutions.”
TBO, based in Minden, Nevada, provides remote staffing services specifically designed for HME companies, including providers and manufacturers, while helping those companies to reduce operational costs and improve productivity.
“Corey consistently shows how TBO’s virtual team members deliver superior performance compared to traditional in-office staff,” the company said. “He emphasizes that TBO provides clients with highly trained and motivated professionals who help reduce workplace stress while maintaining impressive retention rates.”
“Treat your remote team with the same respect and expectations as your in-office employees,” Smith recommended to organizations that are thinking about adding virtual staffers. “You’ll be amazed at the results.”
