Space is still available for the first-day workshops to be held at the upcoming Medtrade conference and expo, which runs March 28-30 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas.
Held on March 28, the three workshops offer attendees concentrated, in-depth instruction on specific subjects.
The first workshop is An Introduction to the Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME) from The Board of Certification (BOC). Led by Abel Guevara III, vice president of Revenue Cycle & Market Access at Abilitech Medical, the workshop serves as instructional preparation for the BOC CDME exam and discusses:
- The scope of practice for the CDME
- The value of the CDME credential for individuals and facility owners
- How to market the CDME credential to customers, referral sources, and third-party payers.
The workshop runs run 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Central Time and costs $49 with separate registration required. The CDME application fee costs $50 and the CDME exam fee costs $75 (a 25 percent discount).
The second workshop is the Team@Work Sales Bootcamp from Ty Bello, RCC, president and founder of industry sales and management coaching firm Team@Work Coaching. The Sales BootCamp aims to change behaviors and thought processes, build a team, instill discipline, and make each participant transform into a sales professional.
Scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., The Team@Work Sales Bootcamp does not charge a fee to attend, but advance registration is required.
The third workshop is the Retail Fundamentals Workshop, which is presented by Rob Baumhover, COO of Independent Medical Equipment. The session incorporates collaborative elements of previous workshops into three hours of learning and brainstorming on topics such as different retail business models, marketing strategies, training sales teams, and product categories that sell.
