React Health has announced the appointment of Bill Shoop as its new CEO.
The change in leadership comes at a critical time for the Sarasota, Florida-based sleep, respiratory and cardio-pulmonary device manufacturer, distributor and diagnostic services provider.
“[Shoop] is a proven executive with a successful record of building strong and diverse teams,” Sean Heyniger, a React Health board member, said in an announcement. “He is a passionate leader who delivers results.”
Specifically, Shoop brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently serving as Vice President and General Manager of ResMed North America, a company he first joined in 2003 as a Territory Manager.
In his new role as CEO of React Health, Shoop aims to leverage that expertise to drive further growth for the company, previously known as 3B Medical.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work with this talented team,” Shoop said in the announcement. “React Health is well positioned to continue delivering innovative solutions that positively impact patients’ lives and those who care for them.”
Shoop officially assumed his role as CEO of React Health on Feb. 1.
As CEO, Shoop will also have a relatively new CMO on his leadership team, too. React Health named Dr. Colleen G. Lance as its Chief Medical Officer in November.
Prior to that, Lance worked as a staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic, serving as Medical Director of PAP therapies for Cleveland Clinic Home Care. Lance was also Medical Director for the Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorder Hillcrest Hospital.
Shoop is also tasked with leading a company that has been active on the M&A front.
In February 2023, Ventec Life Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of React Health Holdings, acquired the assets of the Invacare respiratory product line following Invacare Corp.’s November 2022 exit.
