Brooklyn Park, Minn. provider Reliable Medical Supply donated $1,000 as part of a special VGM program to the Madison Claire Foundation of Woodbury, Minn. to help it complete a 16,000-square-foot accessible playground.
The Madison Claire Foundation serves children and families living with disabilities by building inclusive playgrounds. This state-of-the-art playground being built will be the only accessible playground in Minnesota that is fully ramped, allowing access to every point of the playground.
The $1,000 originated from a special program being conducted by VGM Insurance Services, which is celebrating 25 years in business by donating $25,000 in $1,000 increments to various charities that are nominated by its insureds and affiliated companies. Reliable Medical Supply
CEO Jeffrey Hall submitted his nomination to VGM Insurance Services, which included photos of children with and without disabilities playing together on the playground. VGM Insurance’s selection committee chose the Madison Claire Foundation of Woodbury from among the hundreds of nominations it received.
“We nominated the Madison Claire Foundation to receive the $1,000 because the playground is a concept that allows people with and without disabilities to play on the same playground,” Hall explained. “Every little detail in designing this playground has been taken into consideration to allow everyone to have fun in a safe environment.”
