A new campaign from the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) is asking people who work in the home medical equipment (HME) field to share why they’ve chosen this industry.
AAHomecare’s “WHY Campaign” debuts at Medtrade in Dallas, March 26-28.
In a March 14 news announcement, AAHomecare said, “The campaign, centered around the question ‘What’s your WHY for being in the HME Industry,’ aims to celebrate the passion and dedication of the HME community while highlighting the value of HME and the importance of membership in AAHomecare to enhance advocacy efforts.
“In a demanding and ever-evolving industry like ours, it’s crucial to understand the underlying motivations that fuel individuals’ commitment and dedication. For many, including AAHomecare, the WHY stems from a deep-rooted desire to ensure homecare’s rightful place in America. The impact that each company makes on the lives they touch every day serves as a constant reminder of one’s WHY, especially during challenging times.”
At Medtrade, attendees will be asked to share their “WHYs” in AAHomecare’s booth (#750). Participants can fill out cards that will be displayed for others to read. A photographer will also be on hand to capture attendees’ responses.
“These images and messages may be used in future value-of-HME/homecare campaigns,” the announcement said. “Together, our collective WHY is changing the game in the homecare industry.”
AAHomecare will also be offering a Medtrade special: “Companies who join AAHomecare at Medtrade will be eligible to win a giveaway of a free first-year membership and a 30-minute consult with AAHomecare policy staff on a topic of their choice,” the announcement said. “Companies who join by March 31st receive one-third off the membership rate for one year.”
