Golden Technologies Launches Cricket LT Carbon Power Chair
The side-to-side folding chair is the latest in Golden’s travel line.

July 7, 2026 by Laurie Watanabe

Golden Technologies has launched the Cricket LT GP309, a folding, carbon fiber power wheelchair weighing just 25.8 lbs. without its battery, cushion and drink holder.

In a July 1 announcement, Golden, based in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, said the Cricket LT GP309 was also designed with cost effectiveness in mind.

The Cricket LT GP309 folds side to side into a 12-inch footprint to facilitate transport and storage. The chair uses an “airline-friendly” lithium-ion battery, a contoured memory foam seat cushion, and a battery carry bag. It has a 300-lb. weight capacity and a top speed of 3.7 mph, with an operating range of 9.5 miles.

The seat width and depth are 18×18 inches. The Cricket LT GP309 features flip-up armrests for easier transfers, flat-free tires, and 2-inch anti-tip wheels.
