Drive DeVilbiss Puts Assembly Instructions on BILT

November 18, 2021 by HME Business

HME manufacturer Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is partnering with BILT Incorporated, creator of the BILT app, which makes it easier for people to assemble products at home with the help of 3D, step-by-step instructions.

The free, downloadable BILT app lets assemblers keyword search for product assembly instructions in BILT’s database or by scanning a QR code with their smartphone or tablet. The app then provides a 3D walkthrough with audible step-by-step assembly explanations. Other helpful tools include image rotation and zoom, as well as instant step replay. Additional information such as warnings, cautions, tools required, list of parts and warranty info can also be accessed in the app.

The first products Drive DeVilbiss has on the app include the Bariatric Bath Chair (12021KD-1) and Bariatric Bath Bench (12022KD-1), with more to follow.

“Drive DeVilbiss is excited to be able to bring these easy-to-use instructions to our customers through our partnership with BILT,” said Laura Williams, product manager of Bathroom Safety & Commodes. “Recognizing that users may have limited strength or disabilities that leave little room for cumbersome assembly processes, our hope is to make putting products together easier and faster than ever before.”
