The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is accepting nominations for its 2024 Certificant of the Year Award.
In a Jan. 3 news announcement, BOC called for nominations of BOC-certified industry members to be honored for “outstanding achievements in service, research, and outreach.”
Nominees must be “a professional in good standing” in any of BOC’s six certification areas: DME Specialist, Mastectomy Fitter, Orthotic Fitter, Orthotist, Pedorthist or Prosthetist. “Nominees should demonstrate exceptional service to patients; notable achievements in research; commitment to giving back to the community; and/or outreach to developing countries or other underserved areas,” the announcement added.
BOC’s 2023 Certificant of the Year was Noel Neil, JM, CDME, Vice President of Auditing and Corporate Compliance for ACU-Serve Corp.
Judi Knott, BOC’s President/CEO, said in the announcement, “BOC’s Certificant of the Year Award is an exceptional opportunity to celebrate the extensive skills and accomplishments of BOC-certified professionals. We look forward to learning more about the remarkable contributions of our certified professionals and their influence on the broader community.”
BOC is accepting online nominations through Feb. 12. Nominations can be submitted by colleagues, coworkers or industry professionals, though nominations from family members or by nominees themselves are not allowed.
