
Cameron Stewart
The board of directors of the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) has introduced its 2024 executive committee, as well as two new board members.
In a Dec. 1 news announcement BOC welcomed its newly elected 2024 executive committee:
• Chairman: Cameron Stewart, BOCO, BOCP, cofounder of Alcam Medical Orthotics & Prosthetics, Riverside, Calif.
• Vice-Chairman: Abel Guevara III, DHA, MHIM, FACHDM, RHIA, mMBA, CPhT-Adv, CDME, Vice President of DME for MedicusRx, Houston, Texas.
• Secretary: Angela Presley, Ph.D., BOCPD, COF, Director of Commercialization Services, Simbex, Lebanon, N.H., and Accelerator Coordinator, Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H.
• Treasurer (incumbent): Daniel Griffis III, PharmD, Pharmacist in Charge, Rainbow Drugstore, Brunswick, Ga.
• Member-at-Large: L. Bradley “Brad” Watson, BOCO, BOCP, LPO, Past President and Regional Manager, Clarksville Limb + Brace + Rehab A Bionic Company, Clarksville, Tenn.
• Immediate Past Chair: Wayne Rosen, BOCP, BOCO, LPO, CDME, FAAOP, clinical consultant.
BOC also welcomed two new board members. Farrell Friedenberg, CMF, owner of Jay Ann Intimates in the Philadelphia area, has more than a decade of mastectomy and compression experience. Friedenberg earned her Certified Mastectomy Fitter credential from BOC in 2017.
New board member Michael Silverman, Esq., CDME, is cofounder, attorney, and operator of Silverman Bain LLP, which focuses on advising healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs on business operations issues. Silverman has worked with BOC to keep clients up to date on the laws affecting DMEPOS providers and credentialed healthcare professionals.
New Chairman Stewart said in the announcement, “I am honored to be elected as Chairman for the BOC Board of Directors. As Chairman, my goal will be to help the industry advance in this technological age of healthcare, and I look forward to collaborating with this esteemed group of professionals to further BOC’s mission.”
