WellSky and Option Care Health Launching CommonWell Services

The interoperability initiative will help the national infusion provider and its referral partners coordinate care for more than 250,000 patients.

HME and post-acute software company WellSky and national provider of home and alternate site infusion provider Option Care Health Inc. will launch CommonWell Health Alliance interoperability services.

Starting in the second quarter of 2022, the services will help coordinate care for Option Care Health’s more than 250,000 patients. The interoperability effort will make the following possible:

  • Referral partners will have greater transparency into the execution of their patients’ care plans/
  • Enhanced data exchanges will improve efficiency for providers so they can focus on providing high-quality patient care.
  • Providers will be able to more easily enroll patients into the CommonWell network and contribute information on patient care.=

CommonWell is a not-for-profit trade association that is dedicated to creating universal access to health data via a person-centered, nationwide network. It has a growing network with more than 26,000 provider sites and more than 144 million people enrolled. Participating providers have retrieved over 1.7 billion health records since it was launched.
