The Compass Group International LLC and Hollywood Capital Inc. announced the formation and capitalization of Anodyne Medical Device Inc. to acquire leading manufacturers of medical support surfaces.

The company, headquartered in Los Angeles, also announced the acquisition of AMF Support Surfaces Inc. and SenTech Medical Systems Inc.

AMF Support Surfaces Inc., Corona, Calif., manufactures a complete line of specialty medical devices for the treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers. AMF Support offers foam design capabilities and develops and manufacturers an extensive line of powered and static mattress replacement systems, mattress overlays, seating cushions and patient positioning devices.

SenTech Medical Systems Inc., based in Coral Springs, Fla., is a manufacturer of advanced electronically controlled alternating pressure, low air loss and lateral rotation specialty support surfaces for the wound care industry.

With the acquisition of AMF Support and SenTech Medical, Anodyne Medical Device Inc. now has manufacturing facilities located on both coasts of the United States to better serve a national customer base.

“With expertise and manufacturing capabilities in both foam-based and air-based products, Anodyne will be focused on the research and development of new pressure reduction technologies,” said Mark Bidner, chairman and CEO of Anodyne.
