In both cases, the manufacturer assistance is forwarded directly to the Brightree Business Management Software for Pharmacy client. This new collaboration helps pharmacies adopt these and other RelayHealth services while reducing the number of vendors they have to contract with and manage. This announcement builds on existing integration between the two Atlanta-based companies, through which joint users are able to access RelayHealth Intelligent Network to process eligibility requests and claims in the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs format directly from Brightree Business Management Software for Pharmacy. “This expanded collaboration is part of Brightree’s continued strategy to promote interoperability within the healthcare industry and bring more value to our customers,” said Jen Keiser, senior director, pharmacy product management, Brightree. “Creating a stronger real-time connection between Brightree and RelayHealth will help bridge the gap between claims and payment, helping providers get paid quicker while facilitating delivery of needed drugs and medical devices through increased access to manufacturer assistance where available.”
