The American Association is now taking reservations for its Stand Up for Homecare reception, which will be held during Medtrade Spring on Feb. 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm, at the Mandalay Bay’s South Seas Ballroom F.
The cocktail and networking event raises funds for AAHomecare’s efforts to promote a positive image of the home medical equipment industry and raise public awareness of the homecare industry’s many benefits. The association noted that during 2016, the Stand Up for Homecare campaign reached millions of Americans with positive messages about the industry via articles that were strategically placed both inside the D.C.-area media, and across the nation.
The money raised by Standup for Homecare benefits direct outreach to consumers; expands the association’s network of grassroots advocates; and supports consumer advocacy groups such as the United Spinal Association, ITEM Coalition, the National Council on Independent Living, and Paralyzed Veterans of America, which help the industry’s legislative and regulatory efforts.
