VGM Announces New Chief Information Security Officer
The new CISO will oversee VGM’s information security and regulatory compliance.

February 27, 2024 by Laurie Watanabe

The VGM Group has named Ryan Wood to the post of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

In a Feb. 26 announcement, VGM said Wood “will be responsible for overseeing VGM’s information security and regulatory compliance initiative as well as executing quality assurance and performance improvement and credentialing programs.”

Wood’s cybersecurity and infrastructure experience includes serving as the global director of IT security and systems engineering for Krause Group Ltd., which the VGM announcement described as comprising multiple companies throughout the United States and Europe. Wood’s professional credentials include Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, and Certified Security Professional.

“I am thrilled to welcome Ryan to VGM Group,” VGM CEO Jeremy Stolz said. “Ryan brings decades of experience and an unmatched level of exercise, which perfectly aligns with VGM’s commitment to serving our customers and their increasingly complex needs. I look forward to having Ryan on the team as we continue to evolve and respond to the ever-changing security landscape, particularly in the health-care sector.”

“I am excited to join VGM and to have the opportunity to serve the HME industry,” Wood said in the announcement. “The health-care industry, and HME in particular, is critical to supporting our nation’s most vulnerable patients. I am honored to be able to do my part to protect our industry and ensure they can continue to provide the quality of care patients deserve.”
