In a move aimed at strengthening its position in the home-based health-care market, Tomorrow Health has announced multiple additions to its growth team.
The New York-based Tomorrow Health is a technology company focused on streamlining the way home-based care is ordered, delivered and paid for. It originally launched as a consumer-focused marketplace for home medical equipment (HME), but has since changed its business model to partner with providers, payers and other home-based care stakeholders.
Backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Obvious Ventures and other investors, Tomorrow Health has raised more than $92 million in funding since its launch.
Among Tomorrow Health’s key growth hires is Gabriela Perez, who joins the business as its chief growth officer. Craig Thompson was also hired as general manager and SVP of sales, with Peter Saul brought on to serve as director of provider growth.
“The expansion of our growth team comes as we aim to capitalize on significant demand from enterprise partners to enable high-quality home-based care,” Vijay Kedar, founder and CEO of Tomorrow Health, said in a press release.
With more than 20 years of health-care and startup leadership experience, Perez is set to lead Tomorrow Health’s expansion efforts. She previously contributed to the successes at Ovia Health and Best Doctors, adding $110 million in top-line revenue at the latter.
Perez most recently served as chief commercial officer as Big Health.
“Home-based care in our country needs an influx of better technology and more empathy, and I’m excited to join the team in helping deliver on this mission,” she said in the release.
Thompson comes to Tomorrow Health with years of experience at Abbott, Alto Pharmacy and Getlabs. Moving forward, he’ll be tasked with spearheading growth initiatives targeting provider groups, health systems and suppliers.
As director of provider growth, Saul will focus on strategic collaborations with referring providers, particularly health systems. Saul’s background includes an early career in implementations at Epic and five years at Lumere, where he helped health systems develop new business lines. He worked at Butterfly Network prior to joining Tomorrow Health.
“Having Gabriela at the helm of a dynamic, relentless team – alongside Craig and Peter — will allow us to accelerate partnership with health plans, providers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality care to the patients who need it most,” Kedar continued.
Kedar recently highlighted Tomorrow Health’s big goals for 2024 in an interview with HME Business.
“Our core focus is around growth,” he told HME Business in March. “This year we’ll be expanding with new partners that we’re really excited about, some of which we’ll be able to announce over the coming months. And continuing to drive really tangible and repeatable value for our partners.”
