GF Health Products Acquires Intensa, Inc.

December 21, 2017 by David Kopf

GF Health Products Inc. (aka Graham-Field) has purchased medical and laboratory furniture company Intensa Inc.

While Graham-Field makes HME such as beds and bath safety items, it also manufactures medical seating, furniture and cabinetry. The deal, slated to close Dec. 31, will give the company a large facility in High Point, N.C., a town known as the “furniture capital of the world.”

“The acquisition marks a major milestone in the execution of our ‘made in USA’ strategic initiative with the addition of 40,000 sq. ft. of efficient, quality healthcare furniture manufacturing space,” Ken Spett, President and CEO of Graham-Field, remarked in a public statement. “This transaction will expand our existing product line and customer base; is well-aligned with our growth strategies; and supports our objective to be a preferred global provider of healthcare equipment,”

Intensa President, Marty Cagle underscored that his company’s reputation for “product innovation and dedication will continue without interruption.”

“We will utilize our combined engineering and manufacturing resources to better serve our existing customer base and to develop new product offerings,” he added.
