AAHomecare: Register for the Washington Legislative Conference Now
Association calling for industry advocates to register for the Sept. 29 virtual lobbying event now so that there is plenty of time to slate video meetings with lawmakers and staff.
As the American Association for Homecare gears up for its annual Washington Conference, it is calling on HME stakeholders to register now for the Sept. 29 virtual edition of the event.
In a public statement accompanied by a video from Tom Ryan, president and CEO of AAHomecare, the association called on HME providers to register as soon as possible to help the organization schedule the strongest possible slate of meetings for them. The association added it will not be able to effectively accommodate later requests and cannot schedule any meeting for individuals registering after Sept. 22.
“The HME’s role throughout the pandemic has underscored the need for a stronger investment in home-based care,” Ryan said in his video (below). “Our value proposition has never been stronger and this conference is the time to be loud and proud in demonstrating the value of homecare, and more importantly, the challenges you face today.
“Get the message out with passion, lobby your member of Congress on Sept. 29,” Ryan added.
The association will schedule meetings between HME advocates and members of Congress and legislative staff from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Sept. 29 using Advocacy Associates’ virtual meeting platform.
The platform will schedule providers’ meetings, provide background on each of the legislators they will be meeting with, and let HME stakeholders connect directly with members of Congress and key legislative staffers.
