About Our Speakers:
Heather Trumm BSN, RN, CWON, is the director of Wound Care and Bariatrics at VGM. She educates VGM members about the importance of diversifying product selection and incorporating aspects of wound care into their product mix, and shows providers how to care for the patient with wounds. Trumm's past nursing experience encompasses medical/surgical nursing, community and public health nursing, home health care nursing and she also worked in sales for major health care corporations. She has lectured at conferences, trade shows and seminars all across the country. She is a member of the National WOCN Society, president for the Iowa Affiliate of the WOCN Society, and a supporter of the National Nurses Association.
Maria Markusen is the director of operations and development for VGM & Associates. Her responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations and strategizing retail solutions for members. Before joining VGM, Markusen was co-founder of Simply Shops and COO of Simply Retail, providing outsource retail solutions and retail consulting for hundreds of hospitals and other healthcare organizations. Prior to her career in healthcare retail, Markusen was vp of sales, president and CFO of multiple national long-term care companies, serving the healthcare industry and the nation's seniors.
