Walgreens Home Care Acquires CV Medical Solutions

April 1, 2006 by HME Business

Walgreens Home Care has announced that it has agreed to acquire Canadian Valley Medical Solutions Inc., located in Oklahoma City, Okla. CV Medical Solutions is an accredited provider of home infusion therapy, respiratory services including home oxygen, customized mobility and seating products and home medical equipment.

The company has provided home care services to patients in the central and western Oklahoma regions for more than 13 years. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In addition to its home care services, CV Medical Solutions offers a program called CV Kids, that focuses on pediatric patient needs such as specialized respiratory (ventilator and airway management), infusion and skilled nursing and customized rehabilitation.

“We are pleased to reach this agreement with one of Oklahoma’s leading providers of home care services,” said Ron Allen, vice president of Walgreens Home Care. “CV Medical Solutions has an excellent reputation in the communities it serves and will complement our current facility in Tulsa. This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to the home care needs of the Oklahoma market.”

“This is a major milestone for our company,” said Tracey Wills, co-owner with her husband, Jeff, of CV Medical Solutions. “Walgreens is well-positioned to be a leader in the burgeoning field of home care, and we are excited to become part of that strategic positioning and growth plan.”
