VGM Canada is taking nominations for its Canadian HME Woman of the Year Award from now through July 23.
In a July 5 news announcement calling for nominations, VGM Canada said the contest “is open to all women who work in the HME or mobility industry in Canada. Nominators are encouraged to provide examples of how the nominee has made significant contributions throughout her career to serve her patients, community, business, and the HME and mobility industry. Nominees can be suppliers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, manufacturers, and other professionals in the HME or mobility industry.”
This is the program’s second year. Last year’s inaugural winner was Cindy Wickens, founding partner of Xperience Home Healthcare in Windsor, Ontario.
“This award provides recognition and visibility to incredible leaders in our industry, and we are thrilled to continue recognizing the amazing women with this award,” said Dave Davies, President of VGM Canada.
VGM Canada is taking nominations online through Sunday, July 23. A committee of HME and mobility professionals will select the winner, with the winner being announced at the Canadian Seating & Mobility Conference, scheduled for Sept. 12-23 in Toronto.
