VGM Canada has announced three finalists for its 2024 Canadian HME (home medical equipment) Woman of the Year award.
In an Aug. 29 news release, the organization said this year’s finalists are Stacey Burnett, regional manager, Motion (formerly Motion Specialties); Brenlee Mogul-Rotman, BSc, OT, OT Reg.(Ont.), ATP/SMS, national clinical and technical education manager, Permobil; and Tammy McDowell, RRTS, home health care manager, Boggio Family of Pharmacies.
The award winner will be announced on Sept. 10 at the Canadian Seating & Mobility Conference in Toronto.
VGM Canada noted that finalists were chosen “from a deep pool of nominees” by the Canadian HME Woman of the Year selection committee. This year’s committee included Shelley McGrath, national sales manager, Etac North American Mobility; Cindy Wickens, partner, Xperience Home Healthcare; Janice Edwards, business development manager, Harding Medical; and Jeremy Smith, part owner of Premium Mobility Products.
The program is open to women who work within the home medical equipment and/or Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) industries in Canada. Industry members nominate peers who have made significant contributions to their industries.
“We are incredibly excited to present the third Canadian HME Woman of the Year award to one of these outstanding finalists,” said Dave Davies, president of VGM Canada. “Each of these women deserves recognition for the amazing impact they have made to their communities, companies, and the HME and mobility industry. Congratulations to this year’s finalists!”
