The Magic Mobility brand, known for its all-terrain power wheelchairs, has welcomed a new model to the family.
In a Nov. 13 news announcement, Sunrise Medical launched the mid-wheel-drive Magic 360 in North America. Sunrise acquired Magic Mobility, an Australian manufacturer, in 2018.
“Developed after intensive research and listening to their extensive customer base, Magic Mobility is launching a model designed for off-road adventures and urban maneuverability,” Sunrise Medical said.
The Magic 360 has a narrow width (24 to 26 inches) “compact enough to move easily indoors and yet equipped with all the requirements for tackling more adventurous outdoor terrain,” the Sunrise Medical announcement said. Two types of interchangeable tires are designed to handle a range of terrains, from indoor to outdoor to off-road. The chair also boasts an improved all-wheel suspension and can accommodate complex seating, including tilt, recline, and seat elevation.
Jill McKechnie, Magic Mobility’s General Manager, said in the announcement, “The Magic 360 is the chair our customers have all been waiting for. Our current chairs are renowned for their robust nature and their ability to take riders further. Customers, however, were asking us for a powered wheelchair that looked great, performed outdoors, and was more compact than the Frontier V6 All Terrain model. The Magic 360 provides more opportunity for our riders to move through every aspect of their day and respond to the wide variety of environments they need to navigate.”
Sunrise Medical described the chair as “the most versatile chair in the Magic Mobility range.” Seat-to-floor heights are 17, 18, and 19 inches. Seat widths range from 13 to 23 inches, with depths from 13 to 24 inches. User weight capacity is 350 lbs. The Magic 360 is available in 10 colors.
