The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) has added another industry veteran to its leadership team.
In an Oct. 2 news announcement, the organization welcomed Stephanie Legree as its new Project Manager. Legree’s primary responsibilities will include managing “several of the Association’s highly active, member-driven councils: Medical Supplies, HME/RT, and State Leaders Councils,” AAHomecare said. Legree will also co-manage the Diabetes Council and partner with state association leaders who work with AAHomecare’s Payer Relations team.
Legree is a Vice Chair of the Jurisdiction B Medicare DMEPOS Council and previously served as Chair of the Jurisdiction C Council.
Tom Ryan, President/CEO of AAHomecare, said in the announcement, “I am excited to bring another dynamic industry veteran onto the AAHomecare staff. When I came on board in 2013, we had a single staffer with direct HME [home medical equipment] industry experience — Kim Brummett. With Stephanie joining the team, we now have seven team members with a first-hand understanding of our industry from service in HME.”
Legree comes from Binson’s Home Health Care, where she worked for more than 20 years. Her most recent role at Binson’s was Co-Director of the Business Office and Vice President of Government Affairs. Binson’s celebrated its 70th anniversary earlier this year.
Ryan added, “Stephanie understands every aspect of HME thanks to work in management, legislative advocacy, billing, operations, and customer-facing roles with a multi-state, full-service HME company. In addition, we’ve seen the energy and acumen she brings to the table through her service on AAHomecare’s Regulatory Council and through her legislative advocacy work.”
Legree said, “I’m very excited for the opportunity to support all AAHomecare members and bring my unique perspective to the table. I’ve grown up in this industry, working for my family company; I am blessed with a global understanding. We are an essential industry, and I’m ready to help on a national level.”
