In a virtual ceremony today, VGM & Associates recognized Sherry Krug, vice president of Business Development for Binson’s Medical Equipment & Supplies, as the 2022 HME Woman of the Year.
Krug was recognized for her effectiveness as a leader in the HME industry and her ability to achieve results. In her role at Binson’s, which she joined in 2020, Krug serves as a relational leader and oversees operational functions for all the company’s locations.
Krug possesses expertise in HME operations and specializes in respiratory and COPD programs. In addition to her work at Binson’s, she was a provider to a successful ACO and held a key role in establishing a DME for the largest house call practice in the country, according to a public statement from VGM.
“This is such an honor and beyond any expectation that I had,” Krug said following the announcement. “The women that are here today are so special and all so deserving of this award.”
The other finalists in this year’s competition are:
- Dalia Morales, ATP, director of compliance, HR, and complex rehab technology at Respiratory and Medical Homecare Unlimited Inc.
- Sheila Roberson, chief compliance officer of Great Elm Healthcare
- Erin Weiman, CEO and owner/operator of Nunn’s Home Medical Equipment.
In its seventh year, the HME Woman of the Year Award recognizes one woman who has contributed to her company, community, and the HME industry throughout her career.
“It is an honor and a privilege for me to be able to present this award to Sherry today,” said Mike Mallaro, CEO of VGM Group Inc., VGM & Associates’ parent company. “Sherry serves as a role model for women currently in the industry and sets a standard for generations to come.
