May 28, 2024 by Laurie Watanabe

SG Homecare Inc. has acquired Western Drug Medical Supply, a strategic move that “unites two industry leaders, creating a platform to dramatically scale a leading force in Southern California’s homecare market.”

In a May news announcement, SG Homecare said the coming together of the two companies represents more than $150 million in annual revenue, a growing workforce with more than 500 employees, and “an expansive product portfolio, including durable medical equipment, respiratory solutions, mobility assistance, orthotics and prosthetics, and essential homecare supplies.”

The mission of the Tustin, California-based SG Homecare is “to leave a positive footprint by delivering quality products and services.”

“This is a transformative moment for both SG Homecare and Western Drug Medical Supply,” SG Homecare CEO Jay Wendt said in the announcement. “We’re committed to a seamless integration, fostering a powerful platform for growth. By leveraging our combined size and resources, we will significantly expand our reach and ability to serve patients and partners across Southern California.”

“We are thrilled to join forces with SG Homecare,” said Haig Youredjian, president/CEO of Western Drug Medical Supply. “Together, we establish an unparalleled network of care, offering a wider range of products and expertise to patients and healthcare professionals throughout California.” Youredjian’s father, Jack, established the company in 1977.

SG Homecare has served customers in the durable medical equipment and Complex Rehab Technology industries for more than 20 years. The company has 19 locations in California, including its Tustin headquarters.
