Support products manufacturer Scott Specialties has released Loving Comfort Legs and QCS Medical Legware, a new line of compression hosiery.
The hosiery, available in various compression levels to provide mild, moderate or firm support, provides graduated compression, with the greatest being at the ankle and decreasing up the leg.
By applying pressure to the veins, the support hose help them constrict to a more normal diameter. Compression hosiery is often used to alleviate minor leg fatigue, swollen legs, and varicose veins, and is sometimes applied in anti-embolism therapy and post sclerotherapy care. Compression hose are also used for patients who are pregnant or those who constantly stand while working.
Scott Specialties said the Loving Comfort Legs also can help relieve symptoms related to venous disorders and might also be employed to prevent more serious problems such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
