Resmed has introduced the Airtouch F30i Comfort — a continuous positive airway pressure full-face mask — to the United States market.
“The AirTouch F30i Comfort reflects Resmed’s dedication to its 2030 goal of empowering 500 million people to achieve their full health potential,” the manufacturer said in a Feb. 11 announcement. “Following the mask’s introduction in Australia and Canada, the U.S. launch reinforces Resmed’s focus on advancing comfort-led CPAP innovation for patients worldwide.”
The AirTouch F30i Comfort features a fabric cushion and a fully fabric-wrapped frame in an ultra-compact design. Resmed described the ComfiSoft cushion and frame as using “breathable and moisture-wicking fabric … to deliver maximum comfort without compromising on seal.” The mask is designed with flexibility to gently contour to the patient’s face.
The mask was created “using thousands of digital biomarkers to help provide a tailored fit,” Resmed said. “The ComfiSoft fabric cushion with AdaptiSeal technology combines fabric and silicone and is designed to gently adapt to the face, creating a secure seal that moves with you as you sleep. Available in three cushion sizes — small-wide, medium and large — and three frame sizes — small, standard and large — the AirTouch F30i Comfort is designed to deliver greater personalization than ever.”
Resmed suggested that patients who are new to CPAP use, who are prone to irritation from rigid mask frames, and active sleepers who move frequently while asleep and experience mask leakage could find the AirTouch F30i Comfort helpful.
“At Resmed, we’re focused on designing health technologies that people want to use night after night,” said Justin Leong, chief product officer. “That means designing masks that help make it easier for people to start and stay on CPAP therapy. With the AirTouch F30i Comfort, we’re extending our fabric-mask innovation to more patients, combining softness, breathability and performance to help people sleep better, breathe better and live healthier lives.”
