Resmed’s latest full-face mask launch was made with user comfort and convenience in mind.
The AirTouch F30i Clear mask features a “Resmed-first innovation” ComfiSoft fabric-covered cushion that “replaces rigid plastic with a flexible, silicone-coated fabric cushion that rests gently under the nose for maximum comfort without compromising seal performance,” Resmed said in an Oct. 29 announcement.
The new mask also features AdaptiSeal design, an ultra-compact, under-the-nose cushion that “adapts to the contours of the face, maintaining a secure seal while reducing pressure and marks. Its design minimizes facial coverage, creating a lighter feel and allowing users to sleep in any position.”
AdaptiSeal is available in three sizes.
QuietAir diffused venting enhances environmental comfort by gently dispersing exhaled air to minimize disturbances for both the mask wearer and other people nearby. The tube connection at the top of the head and a quick-release elbow enable users to easily disconnect and reconnect mask tubing. The top-of-the-head design also enhances the wearer’s ability to move more freely as they sleep. Magnetic clips snap on and off to facilitate easy mask fit and removal.
The flexible conduit frame adjusts to different facial profiles and head shapes to provide accurate mask fit, and soft, breathable fabric keeps the nose and mouth area cooler to improve skin comfort.
The ComfiSoft cushion is interchangeable with AirFit F30i and AirFit X30i cushions. The AirTouch F30i Clear is available only in the United States.
