Market researchers The Weeks Group have released Strategic Reports by MSA, a set of reports designed to help providers plan their bids for round two of CMS’s competitive bidding.
The reports provide data for each zip code in 69 of the 70 MSAs (New Orleans, La. being the missing MSA). The zip code-level data includes
• Total estimated DME spending.
• Spending by Medicare.
• Spending by all other payors.
• Total population.
• Population by age group.
The Weeks Group says this data should help providers in those MSAs make more informed bids, and size up their competitors.
