RedSail Technologies has acquired RxMile, an all-inclusive delivery management platform designed to support independent pharmacies.
“This strategic acquisition underscores RedSail’s commitment to providing innovative, patient-centered solutions that empower pharmacies to thrive in a rapidly evolving health care landscape,” the Spartanburg, S.C.-based company said in a Nov. 11 announcement.
The announcement added that RxMile “simplifies the way pharmacies manage, track and optimize prescription deliveries — providing a seamless experience for both the pharmacy and patients. With RxMile, pharmacies gain professional, compliant and efficient delivery operations, including real-time delivery status, live package tracking, virtual signatures, and direct communication between patients and drivers.”
RxMile, based in Wekiwa Springs, Fla., was developed by Kunal Vyas, an independent pharmacy owner, and cofounder Zlad Elmalki, who both saw the need for a scalable, cost-effective delivery solution to make new services available to patients.
The system can help pharmacies to expand their service areas, retain patients, and more effectively compete against mail-order pharmacies. “The platform scales with the business to optimize delivery routes, while minimizing manual work, errors and wasted resources,” the announcement noted. “Additionally, RxMile ensures compliance and security through HIPAA-compliant workflows, comprehensive audit trails, and secure electronic verification, guaranteeing the safe handling of prescriptions.
