Pride Mobility’s newest scooter is the Go-Go Carbon, with a carbon fiber frame and a design that focuses on portability.
In an Aug. 27 news announcement, the Duryea, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer launched the four-wheeled Carbon, which weighs just 35 lbs. minus its airline-compliant lithium battery. The scooter has a weight capacity of 300 lbs. and a top speed of 3.7 mph.
The Carbon is designed to easily fold into a compact profile that fits into car trunks and other tight spaces. The scooter uses Near Field Communication technology for consumer convenience; it can be started with just a quick tap of its key fob, which also provides enhanced security for the device.
The Go-Go Carbon has a full carbon fiber frame, rims and telescoping tiller; non-scuffing, flat-free tires; and a removable seat back and base to facilitate cleaning. The scooter has a 10-mile battery range.
The scooter measures 17.5 inches wide and 40.3 inches long, with a turning radius of 53 inches. Its seat is 14 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep, with a seat-to-floor of 21.75 inches.
