RedSail Technologies’ PioneerRX pharmacy management software is now integrated with Medzoomer, a prescription delivery service that can deliver medications within hours of prescriptions being filled.
In a June 12 news announcement, RedSail, based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, said the new agreement “enables PioneerRx pharmacies to offer seamless, efficient and secure delivery of medications to patients’ doors. The integration with Medzoomer allows prescriptions to be delivered within two hours of being filled, meeting the high standards of convenience and reliability that patients expect. This speedy service ensures that patients receive their medications promptly, enhancing their overall experience.”
The announcement added that Medzoomer couriers are HIPAA certified to protect patient information as deliveries are being made. “In addition to this high level of security, medications are transported in tamper-evident packaging, providing an extra layer of safety and peace of mind for patients,” RedSail said.
Delivery information is “seamlessly synced” into PioneerRx to ensure that pharmacy records care kept up to date.
“We are thrilled to partner with Medzoomer to bring an unparalleled level of service to our customers,” said Josh Howland, president of Pharmacy Systems for RedSail Technologies. ‘This integration aligns perfectly with our mission to provide pharmacies with the tools they need to deliver exceptional care and convenience to their patients.”
Medzoomer is based in Tampa, Florida. A representative on the company’s website said Medzoomer currently has couriers in 30 states and is seeking to expand into more. Deliveries are widely available on weekdays, with Saturday deliveries available in some markets. The company’s website said delivery pricing is set by the pharmacy, but that in most cases, there is a “small” delivery fee or no delivery fee.
