Permobil Videos Receive Three Telly Awards

July 1, 2006 by HME Business

Three promotional videos created for Permobil Inc., by Nashville-based DNA Creative Marketing were honored at the 27th Annual Telly Awards.

The “Child’s Play” video received a Silver Telly Award &#151 the competition’s highest honor &#151 and the “Freedom” and “No Pressure” videos received Bronze Telly Awards. Shot on locations from coast-to-coast (Miami to San Diego), the videos featured actual Permobil power wheelchair users in a variety of scenarios from a streaker on a college campus to children playing hide-and-seek.

“We wanted to take a more light-hearted approach to featuring our product, and these videos certainly accomplished that goal,” said Barry Steelman, Marketing Manager for Permobil Inc.

“Basically we wanted to portray a feature of each product in a way that people could relate to rather than a static and cold feature and benefit campaign,” said Steelman.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding commercials and programs as well as video and film productions. The Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.

Permobil has been committed to enhancing the lives of the physically challenged for more than 35 years. Founded in Sweden, Permobil has its North American headquarters in Lebanon, Tenn.
