SpinLife, an online, direct-to-consumer retailer of mobility equipment, home accessibility products, and other durable medical equipment, has launched a national franchise program, “creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs to join its growing omni-channel ecosystem and help more customers live independently,” the brand said in a Sept. 15 announcement.
SpinLife is owned by Complex Rehab Technology provider Numotion, who acquired the retailer in July 2021. Numotion was acquired by Hanger Inc., an orthotics and prosthetic specialist, earlier this month.
“For more than 25 years, SpinLife has served customers through its industry-leading catalog, dedicated phone product experts, robust e-commerce platform and growing network of physical retail locations,” the announcement said. “The new franchise program expands this proven model that completes the omni-channel experience, giving customers greater access to expert guidance and personalized support in their communities.”
Franchise owners, SpinLife added, will be supported by the brand’s “established national platform,” as well as “brand recognition, digital lead generation, product expertise, training, operational support and customer engagement across online, phone and in-person channels, creating a competitive advantage that is difficult for independent operators to replicate.”
“Our franchise program is about building a true omni-channel experience that puts the customer at the center,” said Amber Dube, senior vice president and general manager of SpinLife. “We’re creating local hubs that connect seamlessly with our catalog, phone and online channels so customers can engage with SpinLife however and wherever it works best for them. At the same time, franchise owners gain the advantage of a nationally recognized brand, established customer acquisition channels, centralized marketing support and proven operational expertise, allowing them to focus on serving customers and growing their business.”
SpinLife focuses on mobility products such as scooters, power wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs, but also sells lift chairs, bath safety equipment, patient lifts, beds, vehicle lifts, adaptive clothing, wheelchair seat cushions and backs, and aids to daily living.
