The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced the featured presenters for its 2024 annual convention, scheduled for Oct. 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio.
In an Aug. 26 news release, the NCPA said the first general session on Oct. 27 will feature the Passing Zone, a comedy/juggling duo who “will showcase the three cornerstones of success — innovation, collaboration and execution — to help pharmacy staff elevate their performance,” the announcement said. “Attendees can expect laughter, crazy stunts and audience interaction as they learn the true power of partnership and how to become part of a high-performance team.”
For the second general session on Oct. 28, policy experts Jim Flood and Scott Douglass from the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Crowell & Moring will join Anne Cassity, NCPA’s senior vice president of government affairs to discuss “their perspectives and predictions ahead of the 2024 election,” especially related to pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reform.
The annual NCPA convention, to be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, is described as the premier national business show for independent pharmacists and pharmacy teams. The event will offer peer-to-peer business education, continuing education opportunities, networking prospects, and an expo hall of pharmacy products and services.
