More Manufacturers Reach Out to Assist Providers: Inogen Offers 24-Hour Support

July 1, 2007 by HME Business

Inogen Inc., Santa Barbara, Calif., introduces its 24/7 tollfree product assistance support line for providers and end users free of charge, a move aimed at helping providers improve business efficiency and reduce costs.

The 24/7 phone line will offer basic product information, answer questions on airline travel as well as technical assistance.

“Looking around the industry, it didn’t appear as though manufacturers were responding to a growing need. There was an absence of after-hours manufacturer support”, said Daryl Risinger, vice president of marketing. “Inogen has always focused its energy on simplifying oxygen therapy for the patient and provider. Understanding that our customers are seeking value in the products in which they invest, Inogen’s investment in offering 24/7 support is one of the many differentiators which position the Inogen One as the right product to meet the HME industry’s needs.”

As efforts to improve operating efficiencies and reduced costs escalate, 24/7 product support can have a two-fold benefit for the provider: the potential to reduce staffing needs for handling basic product questions and demonstration of an enhanced level of customer service to its patients.
