Mobility Innovations Introduces SureLift 88 Lift for Lightweight Mobility Devices
The SureLift 88 has an 88-lb. lifting capacity.

January 23, 2026 by Laurie Watanabe

Mobility Innovations’ latest lift is specially designed to store lighter-weight mobility devices, including scooters, manual wheelchairs and travel-style power wheelchairs.

The SureLift 88 — named for its ability to lift up to 88 lbs. — is “a next-generation folding two-way-powered trunk hoist,” Mobility Innovations said in a Jan. 20 news announcement. “This innovative in-vehicle lifting solution brings together compact design, seamless operation and rapid installation, making it an ideal offering for dealers, mobility professionals, and end users seeking convenient and reliable stowage.”

The arm of the SureLift 88 folds flat when not being used, so valuable cargo space inside the vehicle can be maximized. The SureLift 88 was designed to be installed on either side of the vehicle.

And the SureLift 88 is compatible with — and can be bundled as a single purchase with — the Smart Lifter Power Pack, “an ideal solution for EVs [electric vehicles] and hybrids, where additional power support is essential.”

“Mobility Innovations has long championed solutions that enhance independence through smart design,” said Matt Fieldhouse, who leads Mobility Innovations’ commercial business. “With the SureLift 88, we’re raising the bar by offering a powered hoist that installs faster, operates more smoothly and, with its folding boom and upright arm, fits more easily into everyday vehicle use than other options currently on the market.”

Fieldhouse added, “We’ve seen a growing demand for lightweight, in-vehicle lifting systems that can be installed quickly, without sacrificing performance or safety. The SureLift 88 answers that demand. It reflects our commitment to innovation, quality and empowering mobility. And the addition of the Smart Lifter Power Pack, it’s an ideal solution for drivers and passengers looking for a lifting solution for their EV.”

Mobility Innovations, headquartered in Shelby Township, Michigan, also sells Veigel adaptive automotive equipment including hand controls, steering aids, pedal extensions and pedal guards. Products for drivers and passengers include Veigel’s Jimmy seat buckle assist device and Comfort transfer board. Mobility Innovations provides its products through a network of authorized dealers.
