Nielsen Business Media, the producer of Medtrade and Medtrade Spring, announce Medtrade — Conferences on the Road, a series of regional educational events for the home health care industry. The conferences will address current topics, such as accreditation, billing and reimbursement, and competitive bidding, and will offer advice on how home medical equipment providers can thrive in today’s environment.
Two conferences will be presented in March. Medtrade’s Reimbursement Conference will take place March 5 at the Tremont Suites Hotel in Baltimore. The one-day event will offer billing and reimbursement strategies, including the effects of the Deficit Reduction Act, order requirement changes and best practices. Jane Bunch, vice president of HME consulting for CareCentric, and Bruce Brothis, president and CEO of Allegient Billing & Consulting, will speak on issues involving reimbursement for home medical equipment.
On March 27, Medtrade — Conferences on the Road will present Turning a Challenge into an Opportunity: How to Succeed with Competitive Bidding. Attendees will learn specific strategies to streamline business operations, prepare a bid and remain profitable. Topics such as accreditation, networks and recent legislative initiatives will be addressed by industry consultants Jeffrey S. Baird, Esq., of Brown & Fortunato, and Jane W. Bunch, vice president of HME consulting for CareCentric. The conference will take place at Pittsburgh’s Hilton Hotel.
