Medtrade is calling for speakers for its 2024 annual event in Dallas — but there’s a new format for potential presenters to follow.
A July 17 announcement noted that Medtrade organizers, in conjunction with the Medtrade Educational Advisory Board, have changed the format for inviting speakers to participate.
Organizers have selected the following topics for presenters to choose from: Audits & Compliance; Business Operations; Legislative, Regulatory, Legal; Payer Relations; Products; and Sales & Marketing.
In its announcement, Medtrade said the new format — in which speakers must align their presentations with one of those selected topics — “has been developed to better address the hottest topics within the HME and medical supply industry and the needs of Medtrade attendees.”
Submission guidelines noted, “Please understand that this is not a call to propose a session. Instead, we are looking for speakers to submit information on why they are qualified to speak on a specific topic that is listed within the different tracks. While there is some flexibility in the specific content for the program, the content must adhere to the session title and outlined description.”
Prospective speakers need to choose one of the topics and then submit a request to give a presentation on that chosen topic. The guidelines also note that presentations generally cannot include promotions of products or services (except for presentations within the Products category) and that contests and promotions cannot be offered in exchange for products and services.
Submissions are due Aug. 28, and selected speakers will hear from Medtrade by Oct. 6.
