MedAct Software has appointed Gregg Timmons as its chief executive officer effective immediately. Geoff Kearney, MedAct’s previous CEO will continue to serve as the company’s chairman and manage its board of directors.
“I feel very fortunate to have a great leader like Gregg, with a very strong execution track record, at the helm of the company,” Kearney said. “I remain fully committed to ensure that a smooth transition occurs.”
Timmons joins MedAct from BorderWare Technologies, where he led its worldwide sales, marketing and product efforts as executive vice president. Prior to BorderWare, Timmons was the vice president of Partner Sales and Alliances at Entrust Inc. where he directed the partner channel sales to exponential growth. Additionally, Timmons worked at Netscape, SGI and Kodak.
