MED Group, HNA Enter Recruiting Agreement

May 25, 2009 by HME Business

The MED Group and Healthcare Networks of America have announced their agreement today for open enrollment of MED Members into the HNA panel of accredited DME Providers.

Citing insurance payors’ needs for in-network providers across a broader spectrum of caregivers, HNA said in a public statement that the expansion of its panel to include providers beyond physicians, such as HME providers, was an important step in growing its network.

Based on the agreement The MED Group will function as a network recruitment manager for HNA to recruit MED Members into HNA’s panel of providers.

“We knew that HNA was looking for the market leaders; those DME Providers who are known for their quality of care, sound clinical approaches and solid business backgrounds,” said Rhonda Hines of The Med Group. “These are the types of providers that The MED Group recruits as members, which puts us in perfect alignment with what HNA needs.

“As a result of this alignment, MED Members will be brought into the HNA panel as Preferred Providers,” she added.

The MED Group will also serve as HNA’s credentialing and compliance manager for members that enroll in HNA’s provider network.
