The Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services & Supplies (MAMES) recently wrapped its Forward Together! event, which ran Oct. 5-7 at the Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, Minn.
The educational conference and vendor exhibit event garnered a perfect 4.0 rating from attendees and “rave reviews” from displaying vendors, noted MAMES Executive Director Rose Schafhauser.
“As the MAMES administration team, Jim, Sara and I continue to be amazed by the commitment to excellence of our MAMES members on both the provider and associate member sides,” Schafhauser said. “It was amazing to see over 250 of our MAMES members, our second highest attendance on record, all together again, learning, teaching, networking and interacting as friends, colleagues and MAMES family members.”
Some highlights from the event:
- Thirteen education sessions on topics requested by MAMES Committee members, which ran on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- A new schedule with education sessions beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and wrapping up before noon on Friday.
- An exhibit hall with more than 55 industry vendors.
- Networking opportunities such as Wednesday evening dinner and entertainment; Thursday breakfast, lunch, dinner and entertainment; Friday light continental breakfast; and state sessions.
“The availability of one-on-one meetings with vendors and providers continues to grow in popularity and has enhanced the value to our incredible vendor display hall featuring 57 MAMES Associate Members,” said Jim Schafhauser, MAMES member services. “We were thrilled with our turnout and results.”
