November 6, 2009 by HME Business

Major’s Mobisist, a manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment and mobility products announced today that it has changed its name to Revolution Mobility.

New owners, Co-CEOs and brothers, Brad and Evan Smiedt, recently acquired the Company from its founders, and the rebranding is the final step in a yearlong process to improve the operations of the business.

As part of the process, Revolution Mobility has expanded its employee base, engaged in efforts to improve product quality, as well as efforts to streamline its supply chain and enhance its customer service function. The company also has expanded the its geographic coverage area outside of Southern California by adding field representatives in Northern California, Arizona and Nevada.  The Company recently commenced a marketing campaign covering the entire Western United States.

“We are very excited about our new name,” said Evan Smiedt. “The term ‘revolution’ reflects all of the positive changes we have made since acquiring the Company, while reinforcing the image of our products as leading mobility solutions.”

Revolution says it is preparing to expand into the national market, and says it is enthusiastic about increasing the Company’s network of providers.
