Invacare Vet Joins Harmar as Sales and Marketing VP

November 30, 2008 by HME Business

Harmar Mobility has named long-time Invacare Corp. veteran Michael Parson as its vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role at Harmar, Parsons will be responsible for all aspects of Harmar’s sales and marketing.

Parsons previously served as North American vice president of sales for Invacare, where he worked for 27 years in capacities such as credit manager, assistant treasurer and president of Invalease, Invacare’s leasing subsidiary. Parsons was part of the team that built Invacare from a $19 million company in 1979 to a leading DME manufacturer with global sales of more than $1.8 billion.

Parsons brings with him not only the experience of building and leading a large sales force, but also
the financial background required to build an effective and cost-effective sales and marketing team, according to Harmar.

“We are extremely pleased to have Mike Parsons joining Harmar as Vice President of Sales and Marketing,” said Harmar Mobility president Chad Williams in a prepared statement. “His extensive background and experience in sales, marketing and finance, coupled with his successful career at Invacare, will be instrumental in helping guide Harmar as we continue our impressive growth agenda for 2008 and beyond.”
