Invacare Corp. CFO Gregory Thompson will depart the medical equipment manufacturer on March 1, at which point Invacare president and COO Gerald Blouch will take on the the additional responsibilities in the interim, while the firm searches for a permanent replacement.
Blouch is no stranger to the role of CFO and its responsibilities. He joined Invacare in 1990 originally as its CFO, and later became its COO in 1993 and was later named president.
Invacare reported that Thompson left the firm to pursue another opportunity. A search for his permanent replacement is already underway, according to the company.
“We wish Greg well and thank him for his contributions to the success of our company,” said A. Malachi Mixon, Invacare’s chairman and CEO. “We are sure he will be successful in his new endeavor.”
