Inogen Inc. (Nasdaq: INGN), a provider of home-care respiratory products, has beefed up its leadership team.
The company recently announced the appointment of Kevin P. Smith as general counsel and executive vice president of business development, effective July 22, 2024.
Smith is joining Inogen from Sirtex Medical, with a background in leadership roles at Flexion Therapeutics, Danaher Life Sciences Platform, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
And he’ll be joining another Kevin Smith in the company’s ranks.
“Kevin will be an invaluable addition to our leadership team at Inogen,” Kevin Smith, president and CEO of Inogen, said in a press release. “His extensive experience in the medical device and securities field will play an important role in strengthening our legal team and ensuring Inogen remains an organization based on integrity and compliance.”
Inogen is a global medical technology firm that provides respiratory products for home-care use. The company enhances patient respiratory care by creating, producing and selling top-tier portable oxygen concentrators, which are used to provide long-term supplemental oxygen therapy for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions.
Inogen collaborates with patients, health-care professionals, home medical equipment (HME) suppliers and distributors to ensure broad access to their oxygen therapy products, enabling patients to stay mobile while managing their conditions.
The HME provider has made other C-suite additions in 2024 as well.
In March, for example, Inogen brought on Michael Bourque to serve as the company’s CFO.
