Humana to Cut Medicare Advantage Membership; CGS Lists September Webinars

Reports: Humana to Exit 13 Medicare Advantage Markets Next Year

Humana will stop offering Medicare Advantage (MA) plans in 13 counties next year, while reducing MA offerings in other regions, according to multiple news organizations covering the Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference in Everett, Massachusetts, on Sept. 4.

Coverage by Fierce Healthcare, MMIT, and Modern Healthcare, among other outlets, said about 560,000 current MA plan members would be impacted by Humana’s exit.


CGS Announces September Webinar Schedule

CGS Administrators, the Jurisdictions B and C DME MAC, has released its list of live DMEPOS webinars for September.

In a Sept. 9 bulletin, CGS said its topics for the month will include Medicare 101 (Sept. 12); Medicare 102 (Sept. 13); documentation requirements, part 1, orders, medical records and signature requirements (Sept. 17); documentation requirements, part 3, Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage and billing upgrades (Sept. 18); and hospital beds (Sept. 19).
