HME Manufacturers Named to ‘Best Employer for Women’ List
The list includes 600 companies in a range of business segments.

August 13, 2024 by Laurie Watanabe

Several home medical equipment (HME) manufacturers have been named to the 2024 Forbes list of America’s Best Employers for Women.

In a July news release, Forbes said the award highlighted an “ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace for women.”

To create the list, Forbes’s marketing research partner, Statista, surveyed more than 150,000 women working for companies in the United States employing at least 1,000 people. Survey respondents were asked to rate their employers in areas including working environment, pay equity, parental leave, and how the companies handled reports of sexual misconduct and dis-crimination.

Statista also looked at the percentage of women in executive and board positions with the companies.

Companies did not pay a fee to be considered. The top-scoring 600 companies were named to the 2024 list.

The top spot on the list went to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

HME companies on this year’s list include Cardinal Health (#118); Kimberly-Clark (#240); McKesson (#394); Philips (#511); and Medline Industries (#551).
