HME GPS Reduces Costs

March 6, 2009 by HME Business

HME GPS, which provides HME industry-specific GPS delivery management solutions, has re-engineered its OBC 5100 unit to reduce its MSRP by 38 percent.

The re-engineered product now features internal antennas rather than the previous external, making it faster to install while the retaining unit’s functionality and reporting capabilities. This cuts the MSRP from $399 to $249

HME GPS has also reduced the length of its agreement terms.

“With the economy in the condition that it is in, along with competitive bidding and the 9.5 percent cuts, we heard from HMEs about the fact that they have difficulty making a commitment that extends 24 months,” reported Bob Wagner of HME GPS. “So we have introduced plans that let HMEs sign up with no term commitment at all, or obtain a reduced monthly fee and commit to 12 months. We have eliminated the two-year plan.”
