HME Business Webinar: The Impact of Medicare Advantage on HME Providers
Panelists for the April 15 webinar will discuss best practices for home medical equipment providers working with Medicare Advantage plans.

March 28, 2025 by Laurie Watanabe

Medicare Advantage (MA) continues to gain beneficiary marketshare versus traditional Medicare. But as for-profit businesses, MA programs present their own challenges, from copious use of prior authorizations to reimbursement policies that don’t always match up with Medicare’s requirements.

On April 15, HME Business will welcome three expert panelists to discuss their experiences with MA plans in the webinar “Medicare Advantage & HME: Strategies for a Shifting Payer Landscape.”

HME Business Executive Editor Bob Holly will talk with David Chandler, vice president of payer relations, the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare); Dan Fedor, director of reimbursement and education for VGM & Associates/U.S. Rehab; and Pete Yelkovac, president of Lifestyle DME Group.

Topics will include understanding how MA plans operate as they become the payer of choice for more and more traditional Medicare beneficiaries; how to work with and manage contract negotiations with MA plans; strategies for improving margins and optimizing claims processing; and best practices that home medical providers can begin applying immediately when working with MA programs.

The Tuesday, April 15, webinar will start at 12 noon Eastern time, with a dedicated Q&A session for attendees. The webinar will be recorded and will be available on demand after the live event. Register for the free webinar to get access to both the live event and the webinar on-demand archive.
